Day 37; Time to Fly, by Nik

Well, the day to leave has come :(

I must say I am kind of looking forward to it in a way; having a shower, sleeping in a big queen sized bed (free of broken slats and a large dip in the centre) having more than 10 items of clothing to choose from when dressing to go somewhere and so on and so forth. But on the other hand I’m not looking forward to it; the masssssive flights, the heat.. and not being in LONDON! But I think we’ve definately used the last 5 weeks to the best of our ability. Drinking wise, at least. I wish we had taken a photo of the line up of empty bottles on top of our kitchen cupboards. It was rather epic, but understandable when I stopped and focused on how sick we all are feeling now haha. The fact we had a very hard time remembering what we did two days ago yesterday in order to write the blog for it is a clear sign we have done some brain cell damage haha. Still, it was kind of our bodies to wait until the last few days to hit us with a revenge attack. Unfortunatley all plans to stay away from the drink once home may be horribly sabotaged by the fact we’ve now officially entered the ‘year of the 21st’s’. Ouch

So today we head home, and tomorrow night the girls will be doing the same. This has been a wonderful 5 weeks and I’m so glad we now have a written account of it all to read and remember it whenever we please.

So, until next time.. stay nice, world.
xx

Day 36; It All Comes To An End, by Mitch

Today was our last full day in Penge house. The gang got up at respectable times and started packing and cleaning.

After we had all packed up Chris and I headed to Oxford Street as we decided that we should actually buy our family some gifts and some for ourselves of course.

We headed back home thinking that the girls would be getting ready for the preplanned evening at the ‘Circus Bar’ however it turned out that they had canceled the booking which we were actually happy about (well done to Sarah for her great acting skills to the man from the restaurant to avoid a late cancellation fee).

After canceling the plans we headed to the pub for the final time. As usual it was a good night and it got even better when we got fireworks again and did them in the backyard.

The night only got better from here. After finishing the fireworks we sat down for the final time to watch tv and of course Jersey Shore was on. So yes this meant the pizza, garlic bread, wedges, brownies x2 plus 7up was ordered and to top it all off Sarah paid the £24.99 in coins only.

So this is the last blog post at Penge House. It has been an awesome 5 and a bit weeks. There are so many memories and you can read them all in the previous blogs. I could not have had a more enjoyable time with the best group of people going around. Yes I would be jealous of us too.

Peace.

Day 35; Death by Dizzy’s. Again. By Lani

Well I think the title pretty much sums it up. Like every
other time we’ve had a night at Dizzy’s there’s been the day after.
A total fail day. Like today. We woke up late. Died a little bit
inside. Got delirious. Walked down the street to eat KFC. Went
grocery shopping. Sat in front of the tv. Chris went and got subway
and came back with fireworks. Ate chocolate. Set off fireworks in
backyard. Started a fire in the backyard with Sinead yelling and
getting buckets of water. Ordered pizza. Watched Jersey Shore. Went
to bed. Like I said. Fail whale day. Totally worth it. Haha :D

Day 33; Food, food and more fooood, By Sarah

Sorryyyyy this is an epic late blog, I’ve just been…
well… lazy. My bad :( Ok so day 33 was yet another late start due
to the extremely big night before. Hungover as all hell, Sinead,
Lani, Mitch, Chris and myself all walked down the road to our local
pub for a greasy breakfast/lunch, moaned about our sore heads and
reflected on the night before. We then came home, sprawled on the
couch for an epic amount of kardashian watching and probs more
eating. After a few hours of kardashian-ness, Chris decided that if
he had to watch anymore reality tv he would probs hit someone, so
he left to buy his own dinner as we yelled “ice creammm!”
“caramelllllll!” “chocolateee!” when he went through the door. And,
as we hoped, he returned with the sugary goods and we all OF COURSE
ate some more shit n eventually went to bed. The end
haha

Day 32; The year that is new, by Sinead

So last night was New Years Eve, and I personally feel like
it’s safe to say that it was definitely one of the best ones so
far. We started the night off with a decent amount of shots and
some intense beyonce booty-shaking. At about 8.30pm we left the
house headed for Covent Gardens as we had tickets reserved for the
Roadhouse (a bar/club). We jumped on the bus, some of us with our
Mountain Dew bottles half filled with vodka (all class) and some of
us already pretty pissed haha. Pretty soon we were joined by about
10 crazy greek-londoners who turned out to actually also headed to
the Roadhouse. One of them actually went to primary school in
Perth! It’s safe to say we all bonded very quickly over belting out
way too many tunes and chants way too loud (apologies to everyone
else on the bus but then again get over it, it’s new years).
Getting off the tube and walking to the roadhouse was absolutely
hectic! I’ve never seen so many people in such a massive area in my
life. According to stats there were about 250,000 people JUST at
the London Eye last night. We actually had to link hands and walk
in a chain through the crowds so we didn’t get separated. We lost
our greek friends too, but it was OK, we saw them again at the
Roadhouse. The Roadhouse was so awesome. It’s got such a fun
atmosphere, and they had a live band which played some classics
like ‘Don’t Stop Believing’ and some Blink. I was seriously having
the time of my life moshing at the front of the stage with Chris,
then dancing with the gals on the D-floor when the DJ played his
tunage. Sooooo much fun! Anyway then the clock hit midnight, some
of us got our midnight kisses (Mitch kissed a girl and immediately
after got in trouble by her brother for doing it haha) and we
partied on ’til about 2.30am and headed for
the inebriated trek home. We stopped off for sausage
rolls, sandwhichs, chocolate bars on the way and mowed them as we
walked down the incredibly dirty street that was littered with
remnants of celebration. Over all, it was such a fun night and
I couldn’t have asked to spend it with anyone else, anywhere else.
I’ll never forget celebrating this new year. 2010 was life-changing
for me, so here’s to 2011 being just as awesome, if not more. :)
ps. Head to Facebook to check out photos as I am too
lazy and hungover to post them on here haha :D

Day 31; The Horror, by Nik

I’m not quite sure where to start today’s recollection.. maybe from when we woke up.. at 12pm.. there were many female sore heads and angry tummies this morning, wait, afternoon as we all finally managed to roll out of bed. (p.s, we may need to do a better write up of girls night for you, as quite frankly it was the obvious highlight of yesterday and Mitch skimmed through the seriousness of it’s epicness. stay tuned to Facebook for when I upload the photos haha) So yes, due to the extreme nature of the combined girl hangover not much was achieved during the daylight hours of today.

The boys ventured out to KFC for lunch and brought back goodies for those well enough at the time of their departure to comprehend themselves being able to eat something by the time they returned. Sadly Sinead’s last minute chip order was text in too late haha #sadsineadface but luckily she was able to cash in on her girlfriend privileges and stole some off Chris. To make ourselves feel better we decided to watch ‘Paranormal Activity’ before heading up the road for some Italiano din dins at Zizzi’s.

Unfortunately I was too excited about the food arriving to remember to take photos of the mains so here are some last minute pics of dessert to add some colour to today’s piece….

To carry on our scary hangover/scary movie theme of the day we hired out ‘The Last Exorcism’ from Blockbuster and watched that before bed. Not sure how well the rest of the sisterhood are going to sleep now. Pussys haha

Tomorrow is New Years Eve (and evidently my mum’s birthday too.. happy birthday old duck).. my liver has gone in to hibernation overnight in preparation. At the moment I am upstairs and it sounds like they’re re-enacting an exorcism in the lounge room. Now they are settling in for a Jersey Shore marathon and ordering pizza lol. Happy New Years for today/tomorrow depending on where you are :) xxx

Day 30; Guys Night, by Mitch

Today started off like usual with the crew slowly arising from bed to do not much but sit, relax and wait for the long awaited evening that was to be Guys Night. As it was Guys Night the ladies decided that they should also do something but let me make it clear they only did something as we didn’t want to hang with them.

So everyone stayed home for most of the day except for the small trip to the shops apart from Chris. Chris decided he would make a small trip to town to visit four comic stores. After returning from town about 4 hours later it turned out that due to his lack of ability to use a map he only managed to find one store.

So the ladies started getting ready early as usual, filled their hipflasks for the bus and set off.

Guys night involved food and man vs wild.

So skip forward lots of hours and it’s now 3.30am and we hear a ruckus down the road. The girls have returned. By the sounds of it some of the girls think there are Kookaburras in London and the song of the night was Absolutely Everybody by Vanessa Amorosi or quote Sarah “Ehybodeh lov ehybodeh”

And that was day 30.
